Ode to a Bicycle
There are so many cars in the streets of our cities and towns. There are more and more of them every year. High-speed shiny cars leave no chance to the little bicycle. People produce cars of different makes which then get stuck in traffic jams and pollute the air around us.
The bicycle, however, has survived. Well keep cycling because a bicycle has lots of advantages in comparison with a large automobile__
_____
In some countries people prefer bicycles to cars. You can see a lot of people cycling in the streets of Denmark, Switzerland, and Belgium. Bank clerks, teachers, and even policemen cycle to work. Parents get their kids to kindergartens in special seats, which are attached to their bicycles. And for elder children, cycling to school in the morning makes a good start to the day. Don't you think we should make more use of the bicycle in our country?
