It’s New Year’s Eve today. We all are very busy because we are making last preparations for tonight. I am doing the dusting, my sister is making decorations, and my aunt is doing the washing-up. My dad and grandparents are doing shopping. They are buying presents and some fruit. My mother is making her special dish – baked salmon. It is delicious, and we like it. We all are excited.

Listen to the music and the sounds. Imagine the scene. Describe to your partner what is happening.
Imagine it is New Year's Eve in your country. What are you/your family doing? Discuss it in small groups.
Game
Work in two teams. In turn, each team mimes a party scene. The other team writes down what they think each student is doing. The team with the most correct answers wins.
