Yosemite National Park is located in ' California, on the west coast of the United States. It occupies more than 3,000 square kilometres. The park is situated in the mountains of the Sierra Nevada and has an elevation range from 600 to 4,000 metres. Yosemite is world famous for its fantastic granite cliffs, waterfalls, glaciers, mountain rivers and streams. Almost 95% of the park is protected wilderness, which is home to a huge diversity of plants and animals.
